Groningen Guitar Festival 2026

It is with great pride that the Dutch Guitar Foundation is bringing you the eighth edition of the Groningen Guitar Festival & Competition! We have been continuously amazed by the incredible growth of the Groningen Guitar Festival over these last years, which has made it an undeniable staple of the classical guitar scene across Europe.

From the 21st to the 26th of February 2026, we are inviting you to take part in the biggest classical guitar event in the Netherlands! The goal of our foundation with the Groningen Guitar Festival & Competition is to transform our lovely little city of Groningen into a classical guitar utopia for a few days, by gathering participants from all across the world together in one place with the commonly shared love for our instrument. We are planning exciting activities like evening concerts, masterclasses, a luthier expo with a lecture and much more. Join us in our mission to spread love for the guitar and prepare for an unforgettable experience!
