Andreas Fosshaug (b. 2001) is the administrative leader of the Dutch Guitar Foundation, having previously taken his Bachelor’s at the Prins Claus Conservatorium Groningen. He is currently undergoing a Masters degree in the Royal Conservatorium den Haag. He fell in love with his instrument at the young age of six and has been playing music ever since. Throughout his career he has already earned 1st prize in the Antwerpen Gitaarfestival youth competition (2019), 3rd prize in the Guitar Nordic International music competition (2018), 3rd prize in the Swedish International Music Competition (2016), and has been a finalist in the Fjord Cadenza Music Competition.
Through his expressive playing, Andreas aims not only to play music, but to tell a story. With the use of his creative technique and rich colours, he aims to show the audience new and hidden meanings behind every piece he plays.
