About the concert

French-Spanish Thibaut Garcia was born in 1994 in Toulouse, where he started playing the guitar at the age of seven. At the age of sixteen, he was already admitted to the 'Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse' in Paris, where he was taught by Olivier Chassain and Judicaël Perroy.
Garcia is a winner of several guitar competitions, including the infamous 'GFA' (Guitarfoundation of America), which is considered one of the most difficult competitions.
He is now regularly invited all over the world to give masterclasses and concerts or to judge in the largest guitar competitions. He has given concerts in the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, among others.
In 2016, he made his debut with the "Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse". In the coming months, he will be a guest soloist with several orchestras. In 2017, he was awarded the “BBC New Generation Artist” in London, for which he will perform recitals throughout the UK, including his debut at London’s Wigmore Hall.
Thibaut Garcia, despite his young age, has already recorded three albums. The latest of these three is called ‘Bach inspirations’ and was released in 2018.
