About the concert

Alberto Mesirca – Classical Guitarist
Winner of the 2020 GRAMOPHONE Prize for "Best Concept Album of the Year", Alberto Mesirca is an accomplished Italian guitarist born in 1984. Trained at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto and Music Academy of Kassel, he has won multiple 'Golden Guitar' awards and collaborated with renowned musicians across chamber music and international festivals.

His notable achievements include recording Frantz Casséus' complete guitar works, digitizing the Beyazit Library's Musical Archive, and premiering compositions by Leo Brouwer. Mesirca has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Concertgebouw, Teatro La Fenice, and various international cultural institutes.

Daniel Rowland – Violinist
Acclaimed by The Guardian as "wonderful, ravishing in its finesse", Daniel Rowland is a versatile, charismatic violinist with a diverse international career. He has performed with orchestras globally, championing contemporary composers and premiering works by Isidora Zebeljan and Roxana Panufnik.

A passionate chamber musician, Rowland has collaborated with numerous artists and is a founding member of a tango quintet. In 2005, he established the Stift International Music Festival in the Netherlands. Previously the leader of the Brodsky Quartet, he currently teaches at the Royal College of Music and continues to perform internationally.
