The J.S.Bach’s Chaconne is one of the most well-known solo works for violin which caused a strong divide when this piece was first performed on the concert stage. While there were those who applauded the success of the piece on the guitar, there were those that were offended and proclaimed it blasphemy to be played on any instrument other than the violin. Regardless of these points of view, to perform Chaconne today is a tremendous responsibility for every musician. A seasoned performer and master concert guitarist, Gabriel, is admired by audiences all over the world for his polished performances of versatile repertoire. However, his concerts including traditional repertoire are praised by many for their outstanding artistic quality. We are incredibly proud to be presenting a concert of Gabriel that features some of his favourite traditional pieces of Bach, Piazzolla, Albeniz and Granados.
